As the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has eased restrictions for libraries, the American Antiquarian Society has begun a phased reopening of its library reading room. As a result, the Society is now accepting in-person and virtual reading room appointment requests.

As of July 19, 2021, appointments to use the reading room are available. Appointments must be made at least one week in advance, using our in-person research request form.

Readers are limited to visiting in-person three research days per week.
